Records Request Portal

Visit the City of Golden Valley's records request portal to request Public Data, Data on an Individual, or Police Data. Users may create an account to easily access requested data, or submit a request anonymously. Requests for any data requiring verification of identity cannot be fulfilled via anonymous request. More information can be found in the portal.

Note: The City of Golden Valley adheres to the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, which classifies data as public, private, and/or confidential. You may be asked to provide picture identification and/or written authorization from the parties involved in order to obtain a report. There may be a charge for copies of requested reports. Fees are listed in the Data Practices Policy for Public document linked above. Call the City Clerk at 763-593-8012 if you have questions.

State law requires government entities keep official records for specified lengths of time, depending upon the record. The City first adopted the State General Records Retention Schedule in 1986, and maintains records accordingly. This schedule is re-adopted when updates are made, ensuring adherence to the most up-to-date version.
