Staff Talks About Climate Equity Plan At Market In The Valley
Community Development staff joined other local organizations and businesses for Sustainability Day July 27 at Market In The Valley. The event focused on sustainability efforts across different sectors in the city. Staff from the Environmental Division kicked off engagement for the Climate Equity Plan, with dozens of attendees stopping by to have conversations and complete the Climate Equity Survey to inform development of the plan.
Firefighters Connect With Students At Breck School Summer Camp
Fire Lieutenant Shawn Thorud and Firefighters Steve Yingst and Dana Perkins stopped by Breck School's summer camp multiple times this summer to engage with the campers. Their visits gave kids, most of them Golden Valley residents, a fun, hands-on experience while building positive relationships with local first responders.
