The 30th annual Run The Valley 5/10K Run and 5K Walk Saturday, April 26 drew 174 participants from around the metro area. The event raised funds for the Golden Valley Community Services Commission (CSC), which allocated funds to local human service organizations that benefit the community.
The event started at 7:45 am at Brookview Golden Valley with 23 kids participating in a .2K fun run. Events on the certified course kicked off at 8 am, with 72 running the 5K race, 54 running the 10K race, 25 doing the 5K walk.
Louis Sigtermans of Minneapolis won the 5K run in 18:27 and Robert Galvin of Minneapolis won the 10K run in 36:42.
