The City of Golden Valley is encouraging residents and businesses to embrace better snow and ice management practices through one-on-one chloride consultations. These sessions aim to protect local waterways, reduce maintenance costs, and enhance community safety.
Chloride from deicing salt is a permanent pollutant that damages infrastructure, contaminates drinking water, and disrupts ecosystems. To address this issue, the West Metro Water Alliance (WMWA) is offering personalized consultations for faith-based facilities, homeowners associations, and businesses located in the Bassett Creek watershed and surrounding areas.
