The Golden Valley Fire Department (GVFD) is hosting open houses at all three fire stations on Saturday, Oct 12, 10 am–noon. See fire trucks, meet firefighters, and learn more about GVFD’s goals for serving our community today and into the future.
Since this year’s event overlaps with Yom Kippur, the GVFD would like to share that private fire station tours can be scheduled in advance by contacting Alisa Schuster at aschuster@goldenvalleymn.gov. Additionally, the GVFD will be attending the annual Employee Health and Wellness Fair at the Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minneapolis on Tuesday, Oct 29, 11 am–1 pm.
In addition, this year, free flu shots and COVID vaccinations will be available at Fire Station 1 (7800 Golden Valley Road) for anyone over the age of three with an insurance card.
