Participate In Pollinator Week

Current News Posted on June 09, 2024

Join the Golden Valley Garden Club (GVGC) for Pollinator Day on Sunday, June 23, 9 am–1 pm at Market In The Valley.

Pollinator Day takes place during Pollinator Week (June 17–23), which is an initiative that works to highlight the crucial role of bees, birds, butterflies, bats, beetles, moths, and flies in our ecosystems.

From virtual webinars to garden walks, there are many ways to participate. Some ideas include:

  • displaying pollinator artwork and outreach materials in your office lobby
  • hosting a pollinator planting day at your school, office, local park, or library
  • building native bee houses
  • hosting a nature walk

The GVGC is also working on the Pollinator Pathways initiative, a public-private-corporate effort that seeks to provide a healthier environment through developing pathways that connect the City’s existing green corridors and native buffer zones with pollinator-friendly pocket gardens.
