Join Sweet Potato Comfort Pie (SPCP) at the Loppet Foundation’s Trailhead June 14, 4–6 pm, to make traditional or non-traditional sweet potato pies in celebration of Juneteenth. This is not a competition, but rather a showcase for telling your “pie story.” Participants will share the cultural and personal histories behind their unique recipes. The event is open to all pie bakers!
The Juneteenth Jubilee is hosted by WCCO News Anchor and Reporter Shayla Reaves and will feature “celebrity” pie tasters. Attendees can engage with bakers, savor sweet potato pies, and enjoy a live band performance from 6–7:30 pm.
