This weekend, Hennepin County will close Duluth St (Cty Rd 66) between Regent Ave N and Toledo Ave N in Golden Valley so a damaged pedestrian bridge can be safely disassembled and removed.
Beginning Friday, May 10 at 6 pm through Sunday, May 12 at 9 pm, traffic will be detoured to use Hwy 100, Hwy 55, and Penn Ave (Cty Rd 2). Local road access on Duluth St will be maintained for residents. Crews will work between 7 am and 9 pm

The pedestrian bridge near Scheid Park was closed indefinitely due to damage that occurred when a crane truck struck the bridge April 19. County engineers have determined the bridge can't be repaired and needs to be removed.
