The City of Golden Valley’s Climate Equity Plan (CEP) survey received 373 responses between Jul 25 and Oct 31, 2025. Participants were asked to express their experiences, concerns, and ideas for addressing climate change in the community.
This feedback will shape the CEP, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, prepare for changing weather patterns, and create action steps that benefit all community members. Initial findings report that around 77% of respondents indicated climate change was concerning or very concerning to them, and around 66% said it is important or very important for Golden Valley to take action on climate change.
City staff will draft the plan based on the survey results and present it to City Council for adoption in early 2026. Implementation of the Climate Equity Plan will begin in spring 2026.
