The Golden Valley Garden Club’s (GVGC) March meeting will explore the importance of ergonomics in gardening with a program titled Gardening Gracefully: Ergonomics and Stretch & Flex for Gardeners. The event will take place Tuesday, March 25, 6:30 pm at Brookview.
Licensed physical therapist and ergonomic specialist Karen Cieminski will lead this interactive workshop, offering practical strategies to reduce the risk of injury, prevent fatigue, and improve comfort while gardening. Attendees will learn a five-minute dynamic warm-up routine and find creative solutions to improve ergonomics for common gardening tasks. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.
Cieminski, program director with The Rising Workplace, has over 30 years of experience in ergonomics and injury prevention. She holds a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of North Dakota and provides ergonomic assessments, consulting, and training across various work environments.
