The Golden Valley Historical Society (GVHS) has openings on its board of directors. The board guides policy and operations of the GVHS’s 1882 Historic Church and the Golden Valley History Museum, both located at 6731 Golden Valley Rd.
GVHS acquires and maintains a collection of artifacts, documents, and photographs of Golden Valley history. It also hosts special events and public history programs in its Historic Church, a venue that can also be rented for weddings and events for up to 80 guests.
Board meetings occur on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm. Joining the board is a great way to connect and give back to the community. The GVHS is also seeking museum greeters and occasional volunteers on a Saturday from 11 am-3 pm.
