Golden Valley Historical Society Hosting Presentation On Ewald Bros Dairy Legacy Thursday, Oct 10

Current News Posted on October 03, 2024

The Golden Valley Historical Society (GVHS) is hosting a presentation titled "The History and Legacy of Ewald Bros Dairy" by William Ewald, a third-generation member of the Ewald Bros Dairy family. The program will be held on Thursday, Oct 10, 7 pm at the GVHS Historic Church, 6731 Golden Valley Rd. The event is free and open to the public.

Founded in 1886 by 16-year-old Danish immigrant Chris Ewald, Ewald Bros Dairy grew to serve two-thirds of local consumers. The business, widely recognized for their billboards and WCCO radio jingles, ceased operations in 1983 after nearly 97 years.

Following that presentation, Ewald will sign copies of his book Images of America: Ewald Bros Dairy, with proceeds benefiting the Sister Kenny Institute.

The Golden Valley History Museum, featuring a dispaly on Ewald Bros Dairy, will be open for visitors from 67 pm.
