At its June 11, 2024 work session, the Golden Valley City Council reviewed a list of applicants for the City Manager position to narrow the candidate pool and determine next steps in the process, which will include an opportunity for the public to meet the finalists.
A public forum is scheduled for Thursday, June 20, 2024, 5:30-6:45 pm, in the City Hall Council Chambers. Community members are invited to hear a brief presentation from each finalist and complete comment cards for the City Council to review.
The City received many applications during its posting period in May 2024. The consultants considered all qualified candidates and conducted first round interviews June 3-7. The City Council selected three finalists to continue with second interviews and the June 20 public forum to meet community members.
To lead the City Manager search process, the City Council hired MGT of America Consulting, LLC after interviewing firms that responded to the City’s professional services request for proposals (RFP). Former City Manager Tim Cruikshank retired March 1, 2024 after nearly nine years in the position.
