At its April 16, 2024 meeting, the Golden Valley City Council approved a professional services agreement with MGT of America Consulting, LLC to lead the recruitment process for the open City Manager position. Tim Cruikshank retired March 1, 2024 after nearly nine years in the position.
Before selecting MGT, the City Council interviewed three executive search firms that were finalists in the City’s request for proposals (RFP) process.
Led by two consecutive search consultants with more than 20 years of experience, MGT will conduct a comprehensive search tailored to Golden Valley’s needs, including:
- in-depth stakeholder engagement to define ideal candidate qualifications
- collaborative development of a communication strategy for transparency
- a thorough evaluation and interview process to identify the best fit
- guidance throughout the selection and offer stages
MGT is based in Tampa, FL and has offices throughout the country. Since it began operations in 1974 as a public sector research firm, it has successfully worked with clients on more than 30,000 projects.
