The City of Golden Valley has named Lyle Hodges as the new Finance Director, filling the vacancy left by the January 2024 retirement of Sue Virnig.
Hodges previously worked as the controller for the City of Minneapolis since 2018, serving as a member of the City’s financial leadership team and leading the Controller Division. In addition to multiple positions with the City of Minneapolis, Hodges had also worked for a Bloomington accounting firm, primarily performing audits of local governments (cities and schools) and nonprofits. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St Cloud State University and has earned his CPA license.
He will begin working for the City May 28, 2024.
