The Golden Valley City Council is considering a proposed amendment to the current shade tree ordinance that will discontinue private ash tree condemnation.
If approved, this amendment will relieve private property owners from the obligation to remove infested ash trees from their property. Under the existing ordinance, property owners are required to remove infested ash trees.
Two public hearings of the ordinance are scheduled for Feb 6 and Feb 20, 2024, both at 6:30 pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
