The Minneapolis Regional Chamber, in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), will host the first annual West Metro Manufacturing Exploration and Career Event Thursday, Oct 30, 9 am to 4 pm, at Hennepin Technical College's Brooklyn Park Campus (9000 Brooklyn Blvd).
This event offers hands-on exploration opportunities for high school students in the morning, followed by a career fair in the afternoon for job seekers. Employers will be on site with interactive demonstrations and information about open positions in the manufacturing industry.
Participants will also hear from DEED's Metro Area Labor Marker Analyst about the current state and future of manufacturing in Minnesota.
The event is free, but space is limited. Register by Thursday, Oct 16.
