After a summer marked by several severe storms, here's a reminder of what to do and who to contact in the event of storm damage (see below).
City crews work promptly after storms to remove downed trees and debris from streets, sidewalks, and public right-of-ways. They also monitor Ȟaȟá Wakpádaŋ/Bassett Creek for blockages that could impact water flow or cause flooding.
While the City is responsible for trees on public property, trees on private property, as well as limbs that fall from them, are the responsibility of the property owner. If you experience tree damage on your property, contact your garbage hauler or a professional tree removal service.
