On Jan 22, the Golden Valley Fire Department (GVFD) hosted its annual promotion ceremony, celebrating the dedication and achievements of its team.
Fire Chief Bethany Brunsell administered the oath of office and presented badges to nine new probationary firefighters and an assistant fire chief. In addition, GVFD leadership presented badges to three probationary firefighters who were promoted to apprentice firefighter, two apprentice firefighters who were promoted to firefighter, two firefighters who were promoted to lieutenant, and two lieutenants were promoted to captain.
