Curbside Textile Hauling

WasteZero is a certified B-Corp which specializes in reducing waste, increasing recycling, and saving money. The organization has partnered with more than 800 towns, cities, counties, state agencies, and private organizations since 1991 and is hoping to solve the problem with next-generation waste reduction programs, like Simple Recycling.

How Simple Recyling Works

logo1. Simple Recycling mails bags to residents to be filled.

2. Residents place used clothing and other unwanted home goods in the bag.

3. Residents then request a pick up via and place the filled bag next to their curb.

3. A transit van is then sent to retrieve the bags on the same day as resident’s recycling pickup. New bags are redistributed upon pickup or upon request by residents.

4. Approximately 30 percent of the collected material is distributed to thrift stores, 30% to overseas markets, and the remainder is shredded to provide material for insulation and industrial wipers.

5. The City of Golden Valley receives compensation of $20 per ton of gathered materials.
