The City is aware of federal immigration activity in and around Golden Valley, and that this has created fear and uncertainty for many in the community. To everyone in the Golden Valley community, your safety and well-being is the City's priority.
The City prepared a community safety resources webpage that includes the uniforms and forms of identification City employees use, as well as the processes by which the City schedules appointments with homeowners. City staff members will never attempt to gain entry to personal residences and do not ask individuals about their immigration status.
If community members feel unsafe or are witness to or victim of a crime, they should call 911 and Golden Valley Police or Hennepin County Sheriffs Office will respond.
