As part of the City’s Building Forward project, on Dec 16, 2025, the Golden Valley City Council approved an acquisition price of $8.02 million for a 7.65-acre property at 6110 Olson Memorial Hwy. This property is adjacent to the 7.51-acre site at 6100 Olson Memorial Hwy, which was approved for acquisition June 17, 2025, for $6.98 million. Together, the two sites are just over 15 acres, with a total acquisition cost of around $15 million, and will be home to the City’s new Public Works facility.
This modernized facility will replace the City’s current Public Works facilities and consolidate operations into one building to better support essential City services and prepare the Public Works Department for future growth.
