Public Safety In The Parks
Come meet the Golden Valley Police and Fire Departments this summer in parks around town at Public Safety in the Parks. Police and firefighters visit and talk with kids, give safety lectures, maybe serve ice cream, and have fun. On hot days, the firetruck becomes the source of a gigantic sprinkler to help the kids cool down.

Public Safety Open House
Join your neighbors for the annual Public Safety Open House Wednesday, June 21, 5–8 pm, at the Public Safety building on City Hall campus. Tour the Police Station and Fire Station 1, win prizes, and check out the equipment the Golden Valley Police, Fire, and Public Works Departments use to keep the community safe.
Fire Recruitment Expo
The Golden Valley Fire Department Recruitment Expo will be Saturday, Aug 5, 9 am, at Fire Station 1. is a great place to meet face to face with firefighters and learn about the hiring process, training, schedules, and try out some firefighting skills. Although attending isn’t required for hiring, it is highly recommended.
