On Thu, June 16, 4–7 pm at City Hall the City of Golden Valley will give residents a glimpse of the electric future with an electric vehicle (EV) showcase event. This event will allow attendees to look at display EVs and give them opportunities to engage with industry experts and local EV owners.
EVs offer a variety of benefits to communities, and the City of Golden Valley is eager to give people a chance to get hands-on experience with these vehicles. Some benefits of driving electric include lower costs-to-own over the life of the vehicle, cleaner air in the community, and a smooth, powerful ride.
The event will feature a wide variety of electric vehicles, including models from Volkswagen, Chevrolet, Polestar, and others. Local EV owners will be there to display their vehicles and speak about their experiences owning an EV. Additionally, Xcel Energy and Drive Electric Minnesota will also be present to answer questions about the vehicles.
“Golden Valley is proud to be at the forefront of electric vehicle adoption in Minnesota,” said Minnesota GreenCorps member Ethan Kehrberg. “We are excited to offer an opportunity for residents to learn more about these new vehicles and the goals of our Energy Action Plan.”
Electric vehicle showcase events are frequently held across the state to display the benefits of EVs. Golden Valley is pleased to share these benefits with the community and hopes you will come see these vehicles for yourself.
