Virtual Open Book Meetings Scheduled April 26 And 28

To protect the health and safety of taxpayers and staff, Hennepin County is holding virtual open book meetings Tue, April 26, 10 am–6:30 pm and Thu, April 28, 8 am–4:30 pm.

The Open Book meeting is held annually so property owners can ask questions about their property valuation notices.

Every year, the City of Golden Valley works with Hennepin County to determine the market value of city properties. The County mails notices to property owners each March to show the market value that will be used to determine property taxes for the following year. See Valuation Notice example.

Getting Your Questions Answered This Year

Hennepin County appraisers are conducting virtual valuation and classification reviews with no face-to-face contact. To schedule a conversation regarding your property, call the assessor’s office at 763-593-8025 or email Assessor Rob Winge before May 18, 2022. Be prepared to discuss your concerns and share information about your property’s assessment.

For valuation and property sale information, visit the Hennepin County website.
