Beginning April 1, 2022, all City Council, Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA), and Commission meetings will be conducted in-person, allowing for remote participation as permitted by law. Council members and commissioners will no longer be able to attend meetings from their private residences.
Since Jan 11, 2022, when the City Council declared a local emergency due to spiking COVID-19 rates, the City allowed its Council, HRA, and Commissions to conduct meetings by telephone or other interactive technology. Starting April 1, 2022, council members and commissioners must attend meetings in-person or remotely as long as they remain in a public space.
Community members will still be able to attend and participate in meetings remotely via Cisco Webex.
The City will continue to monitor the pandemic and adjust its policies and procedures as recommended by public health experts.
