COVID-19 Business Resources
Coronavirus (COVID-19) has businesses scrambling for information. How do they keep workplaces safe and clean and accommodate changes in employee needs? How might it impact their business and the economy?
The following provides resources for businesses, including information about loans, employment, and more.
Golden Valley Mask Mandate
At a Jan 11, 2021 special meeting, the Golden Valley City Council passed a City-wide mask mandate, to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and the Omicron Variant. Local businesses are encouraged to display signage to remind customers of the mandate. The City has provided signage below for businesses to use.
Business4Business Minneapolis-St. Paul (B4B MSP)
B4B MSP is a regional coalition that aims to build a local support network to help small businesses survive and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges facing our small business community.
Business Relief Payments
The Minnesota Department of Revenue will send COVID-19 Business Relief Payments to eligible businesses under a $216 million economic relief package signed into law December 16. Eligible business owners do not need to take any action to receive this aid.
Elevate Business HC
Elevate Business HC offers businesses in Hennepin County free advising and other resources to help them recover from the pandemic and build for future growth. A collaborative effort between Hennepin County and the Minneapolis Regional Chamber, Elevate Business is committed to providing equitable and inclusive support to meet unique needs of businesses, while driving long-term economic growth for our region.

Hennepin County Economic Development has compiled a list of resources for businesses and workers affected by COVID-19.
Minnesota Chamber of Commerce
The Minnesota Chamber of Commerce's COVID-19 Business Toolkit includes resources to help businesses answer questions and carry on throughout the pandemic.
Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED)
DEED is working proactively to help ensure the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic do not cause unnecessary burdens on employers and workers in Minnesota.
DEED has a number of financial resources to support your business through the COVID-19 pandemic.
DEED has Main Street Covid Relief Grants for Minnesotan-owned and operated businesses that can demonstrate financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF)
The American Rescue Plan Act established the RRF to provide funding to help restaurants and other eligible businesses keep their doors open. This program will provide restaurants with funding equal to their pandemic-related revenue loss up to $10 million per business and no more than $5 million per physical location.

The US Small Business Administration (SBA) is working with health and government officials to provide resources to help small business owners maintain their safety and security.
