Gearty Park
The dasher boards at Gearty Park Hockey Rink will be rebuilt in the summer of 2025.
Natchez Park
The equipment has arrived, and the sun shelter and play structure installation will start by June 2025. Removal of current features will take place in April 2025.
Pennsylvania Woods
The City received $32,240 from the Hennepin County Healthy Tree Canopy Grant to support a forest restoration project. The project includes removing more than 30 dead, dying, and hazardous trees and planting 70 new trees. Tree removals are scheduled for fall and winter of 2025–2026, with planting planned for spring 2026.
Scheid Park
The park shelter building remodel will take place in late 2025. The remodel will include the addition of windows, a refresh of the interior of the building, and bringing the building up to current ADA standards to increase accessibility.
Seeman Park
The City of Golden Valley is planning to update the play structure at Seeman Park in 2025 and is seeking resident input before requesting design proposals. A survey will be available soon. In addition to the new play structure, the project will include the installation of a sun shelter and general trail maintenance.
Canadian Pacific Rail Regional Trail Study
Three Rivers Park District will be attending the Dec 12, 2023 City Council meeting to present public input for the proposed regional rail trail options. This proposed trail begins in Crystal and will proceed north through New Hope, Golden Valley, St Louis Park, Hopkins, Edina, and through Bloomington.

Yosemite Park
The play structure and shade structure have arrived and are waiting for installation. Due to heavy rains and snow, the installation contractor is behind schedule. If the weather becomes too cold before the end of the year, the play structure will be installed in spring 2024.
