Severe Weather Guidelines

The City of Golden Valley's Severe Weather Guidelines were developed to protect participants, staff, and spectator involved in athletic activities. They will be used before and during City-sponsored athletic programs and events by private groups using City facilities.

Blizzard Ski+Snowboard School

Experience the ultimate in skiing, snowboarding, freestyle, and racing instruction for beginners to experts! Since 1958, Blizzard has provided skiing and snowboarding instruction and family fun with extras you only get with Blizzard. Choose up to an eight-week season at eight local snowsports destinations on Sundays, featuring a wide array of age-appropriate programs for kids in grades K-12. Progress at your own pace with expert instruction from our adult staff on groomed runs and terrain parks. You provide your own food and gear (season-long discounts and rentals are available), we provide the rest. Each week, you’ll be contacted to RSVP for the upcoming trip. Bus times are approximately 8 am–5:30 pm. When you attend, you’ll pay a weekly trip fee of about $67 for your round-trip bus transportation, adult supervision, and lift ticket (no fee if can't attend that week).

Ages 6–18 (Grades K–12)
11 Saturdays (Dec–Feb) and 8 Sundays (Jan–Feb)
Trip runs approximately 8 am–5:30 pm
Course fees range from $199–499 depending on grade
