Current Developments

Ongoing economic development is important to a community because it has a direct effect on property taxes, home values, and overall quality of life. Golden Valley is a thriving home to many business, both large and small, and there's a lot of redevelopment going on. This page includes projects you may have seen around town.

The focus is on larger development activities or highly visible projects occurring, approved, or being reviewed in the City of Golden Valley and does not include every proposed project proposed. The Current Developments Map (see box at right) shows projects by location.

A 6-story, 126-room Marriott hotel with fitness center, meeting rooms, breakfast bar, and rooftop spa.

Central Park West–Residential Phase 1–Apartment
1511 Utica Ave S, St. Louis Park
A 6-story, 199-room apartment building and a 38,000-square-foot linear park that straddles the municipal boundary of St Louis Park and Golden Valley.

Cornerstone Creek

Consolidation and redevelopment of two parcels for a 45-unit facility for adults with developmental disabilities and administrative offices for Jewish Housing and Programming.

9201 Golden Valley Rd
Redevelopment of two parcels for a 172-unit apartment building with a pool and sixth-floor observation deck looking towards downtown Minneapolis.

The Liberty
Medicine Lake Rd and Winnetka Ave
Redevelopment of four properties for high-density residential, including 55 townhome units and a 187-unit apartment building. Collaboration with the City will provide for flood storage on and adjacent to the site.
